Asbestos CSR Day

On 14 May 2008 we visited St Nicholas field nature reserve, the team consisting of the asbestos and administration departments.

Our task was to tidy up the front entrance and make it more appealing to visitors. The girls concentrated on weeding the rockery, while the men got stuck into some hard graft and swung there mattocks and spades. During some mattock swinging however, one got a little bit carried away and managed to split his trousers.

We also trimmed back the common ground to make it more presentable; one of the girls in particular approached this task with gusto, her efforts were most enthusiastic. In all we worked hard to improve the park and hope our efforts have made a difference. We enjoyed the day and thank the reserve for giving us the opportunity, even if we did all get sunburnt.
