Asbestos: Appointed Persons Course
Eurosafe UK ran their first successful Appointed Persons course in January 2011. The course was run over two days in York and was opened by David Powell the Health and Safety Executive Principal Inspector, with the remainder of the course being delivered by experts in the field of asbestos management and remediation, using a 'mock up' site and practical sessions.

With the introduction of HSG 264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide, a key legal requirement is the duty to designate an Appointed Person to manage asbestos issues within a clients property portfolio. The Appointed Person should have the resources, skills, training and authority to ensure that Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM's) are managed proprerly.
