CDM Road Shows

The new CDM regulations are effective from 6th April 2007 and do not allow for any ‘honeymoon period’, so all projects which start on site following this date must comply with the new regulations. Additionally, the new regulations will also apply to any projects already on site on that date.

The principle aim of the new regulations is to make it easier for Duty Holders to understand their obligations.

Client organisations need to act swiftly to ensure they have introduced procedures to ensure compliance with the new regulations. Many clients have been struggling to ascertain what impact the regulations will have on their day to day operations.

Eurosafe UK are currently doing CDM road shows in which we are visiting clients, presenting the changes and explaining how we consider the clients can implement solutions.

A large number of our clients have taken the opportunity to get their designers, consultants and contractors to attend the presentations thus ensuring a uniformed approach by their teams so they can ‘hit the road running’.

On completion of the road shows Eurosafe UK believe that we will have assisted hundreds of companies to make as smooth a transition to the new regulations as is possible.
