We provide cost effective training solutions to assist organisations in meeting their legal duties, and also their desire to improve their businesses by developing the skills and knowledge of their most important asset — their people.

We offer a range of set courses, all of which are delivered in York, Derby or at your workplace. Alternatively, we can work with your organisation to develop bespoke courses.

Construction

C1 - Safe Working at Height

Duration: One Day

Target Group: Any person(s) who, as part of their working duties are involved in working at heights.

Asbestos

A1 – Asbestos Awareness

Duration: 4 hours

Target Group: Asbestos awareness training is required to be given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building because ACMs may become exposed during their work.

A2 - Asbestos Awareness Refresher

Duration: 2 hours

Target Group: Asbestos awareness refresher training is required to be given to employees whose work could foreseeably expose them to asbestos. In particular, it should be given to all demolition workers and those workers in the refurbishment, maintenance and allied trades where it is foreseeable that their work will disturb the fabric of the building because ACMs may become exposed during their work.

A3 - Training for non-licensable asbestos work

Duration: 1 Day

Target Group: Persons requiring this type of training would include those whose work will knowingly disturb ACMs, such as maintenance workers and their supervisors; and those who carry out asbestos sampling and analysis. It should be given in addition to the asbestos awareness training.

A4 - Asbestos: Appointed Persons Course

Duration: 1 day

Target Group: With the introduction of HSG 264 Asbestos: The Survey Guide, a key legal requirement is the duty to designate an Appointed Person to manage asbestos issues within a clients property portfolio. This training is designed to prepare an individual who is appointed to this new role. The course provides both regulatory and legal advise as well as practical solutions to managing asbestos within the property portfolio effectively and safely.
