C3 - Scaffold Inspection

- Any person(s) who, as part of their working duties are responsible
for inspection of scaffolds on site.
- Aims:
- The aim of the training is to provide candidates with the necessary
information on the correct procedures to be adopted when inspecting
scaffolding.
- Objectives:
- At the end of the instruction the candidates will be able to:
- Have an understanding of the statutory regulations
- Identify scaffold components and equipment
- Understand types of scaffold structures
- Have a basic knowledge of methods of construction
- Identify hazards and problems in working scaffolds
- Understand the reasons for ties and loadings

- Identifying scaffold components, and terminology
- Tubes, fitting and boards
- Safe use of ladders and steps on site
- Reasons for ties and loadings
- The use of gin wheels and pulleys on scaffolds
- Practical inspection exercise
- Inspection and tagging documentation

- Safety Requirements:

- As the instruction is carried out on site, the clients' site
regulations/requirements must be adhered to.
- PPE must
be worn at all times throughout the instruction.
