C7 - CSCS Safety Awareness Course

- Target Group:
- All employees and self employed personnel.
- Aims:
- The purpose of this course is to ensure that all personnel in attendance
are aware of their legal obligations in respect to Health and Safety
at Work. It will outline the statutory regulations which will apply
and provide information relating to causes of accidents and harmful
substances. It will also identify other potential hazardous areas
and issues which can promote unsafe conditions. Finally it will establish
the safe methods which must be adopted at all times to ensure a safe
place of work.
- Objectives:
- At the end of the course the candidates will:
- Have an understanding of the statutory regulations
- Be conversant with the employers and the employees legal obligations
with regard to the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974
- Understand the role and powers of the HSE and the penalties
which may be imposed subsequent to the contravention of statutory
regulations
- Be aware of all risks and hazards which may be encountered
whilst carrying out their specific operations in order to
ensure a safe place of work

- Safety Requirements:

- If the course is carried out on site, the clients' site regulations/
requirements must be adhered to.
