B1 - Time Management
- Overview
- This course looks at how time, and our relationship with it, has an
impact on our performance in the workplace. It also explores the link
between time management and stress and how, through approaching our
work from a new, more organised perspective we can deal with pressure
and conflicting needs more effectively.
- Objectives:
- As a result of the programme delegates will:
- Have a clearer understanding of the principles of good time
management
- Be able to plan, organise and prioritise their work more efficiently
- Come away with proven methods of reducing stress and pressure
in their jobs
- Recognise ways in which to create a less crisis ridden work
environment

- Urgent or Important? Recognising the distinctions
- The vital importance of prioritising
- Preventing too many "urgent's" - creating a flow
- Organising ourselves more efficiently
- Planning our schedules and time mapping
- Positive active and re-active tasks - the distinctions
- Dealing effectively with interruptions and re-active tasks
- Doing our own job and avoiding the "monkey on the shoulder"
syndrome
- Assertiveness and time management - saying "no" constructively
- The relationship between time management, well-being and performance
- Working towards a stress free workplace
